Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Edward Albee’s seminal and perpetually astonishing 1962 drama Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? stunned its very first Broadway audiences with its radical, provocative, and unflinching portrait of a marriage, instantly making Edward Albee the most important American playwright of his generation. This production, directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello, stars a company of theatrical powerhouses including two-time Tony Award and three-time Emmy Award® winner Laurie Metcalf as Martha and Rupert Everett as George. The cast is rounded out by 2019 Olivier Award® winner Patsy Ferran as Honey, and Russell Tovey as Nick. Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? performed at the Booth Theatre in March 2020.
